** Blast from the Past **

Hello gang!, So so, so nice to pop on here and catch up (and to see so many of you are all still around, all still flying - unlike me - and all still family). Missed that the most. I've felt semi-connected thanks to things like Facebook, helping where I can each year with IBX from afar keeping me semi connected to Brian, Bob and Morrie and always thinking about all PKFers. The kites aren't all hidden away, the Blurr is sitting in my office actually (not sure why exactly) and the buggies are hanging in my garage...or "were" hanging...I've just taken them down because I need to part with one of them. Part of the reason I came to PKF today, to see if it's still as active an vibrant as ever. And indeed it is!

What's been going on? I guess life. Kids are growing (faster than I can keep up with), business is thriving still and my little experiment with chainsaw carving about 2 years ago (wood) has taken on a life all it's own and consumed every other bit of time I didn't have to begin with. Love every minute of it though - not a moment of complaint.

Our youngest starts kindergarten in September this year which puts me a mere 10 months away from getting back to a 9-5 life after nine long but amazingly, indescribably fulfilling years watching my two girls grow. No time to kite because I'm daddy by day, working all night? That's life, life is fantastic and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I still have the big old bag of single liners that the kids and I get the chance to play with a few times each summer and I love that time spent with them. It's all kiting after all....and I've stayed close to the wind thanks to the family sailboat which is two weeks away from what I hope to be our first overnight family trip. Can't wait! Hope the weather holds.

I hope you have all been well and life is going great for all of you. I'm going to spend a good many hours "catching up" on PKF here. Then I'll take a good personal assessment and decide what to do with the bags of nylon lingering under the stairs here. No drastic moves coming I assure you all ; )

Sounds like you are having a blast in the present with the sail boat, carving and kids. 8

Ive been away from kiting too long. I never find time to go and I miss it. I'm glad PKF is still here and functioning, although not as active as before it seems.

Did he call me a PKFer????:o Start moving those kids up to power kites. They'll love 4 liners.
