Problems posting from iPhone and iPad

Windstruck - 1-10-2017 at 08:36 AM

In the past days I've had trouble posting from my iPhone and iPad. It has worked occasionally but not consistently. I recently upgraded both devices to IOS 11 and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Anybody have any thoughts on this???? :puzzled:

I have had days where you would write and preview and it would be blank.

I remember RTZ saying that it is from using the apostrophe.

I tried it and it currently seems to work...

Here is a try without an apostrophe.

Yup - that seems to be it. Thanks!

It's not only the apostrophe, it's also the quote signs. Apples has switched over to using "smart quotes" (http://smartquotesforsmartpeople.com/). I believe they fall into a Unicode character range the forum software is not happy with.

This is also what causes the software to throw furballs over the use or the English (pound) and EU (euro) currency signs.
