I use a Garmin etrex 10. Works great.

Garmin eTrex 20x. Same basic GPS as Randy's above just a newer model. I could be wrong but the older ones were B&W. This one is color.

Limited use so far, but I've been pleased to date. Got it mounted on my downtube using RAM parts which I further recommend.

Download Strava on your phone for free. A bicycle phone mount is pretty cheap.

I bought a Garmin Edge 200 for my bike - as it was so handy to connect it to the computer and get all the maps/info from the trip, I adapted it to the buggy. I've got an Etrex as well, but the Edge is much more suited to my needs. Good battery life too. I did a review of it here: Garmin Edge 200 review

I picked up a refurb'ed Garmin Fenix 2 last winter and love it. You can use it for buggying, but its also really nice for water and snow kiting where you don't want something clunky that you have to mount. For a simple GPS to display things like current speed, max speed and distance, its great.

thanks for suggestions and the garmin edge 200 looks great and your review (as always!) john is very handy to read.

My Garmin fenix is at the bottom of Sengekontacket, sniff, sniff. It was an older 2nd gen, but it still worked well for speed and distance. Jumps not so much.
I liked how I could put my tracks in google earth.

Phone in the pocket is all I got going now.

Ahh! Sorry to hear about your watch. Rest assured, there's a trout down there letting all his other trout friends know just how fast he can swim.

And yes, thanks for the reminder/heads up about jumping data with the Fenix2. You're right - its terrible at that.

Picked up an Etrex 20x used for just under $100. Just had my first buggy session with it. Worked great.
