Product review : Plasti-dip (pics fixed.... sort of)

I bought Peter Lynn depower rope w/Chicken loop years ago. It sat new in the bag until last year when i needed to replace the chicken loop on one of my bars. Much to my dismay, the rubber sheath on the chicken loop had dried out and cracked away leaving the rope exposed. I almost tossed it in the trash (I actuakky tossed it in Richs trailer  lucky for me) So i remembered this stuff my dad used to use back in the 80's - Plasti-Dip. He used to coat tge handles of his tools with it. Will it work on a chicken loop...? Let's see....

This is after 5 dips with half hour between dips. Looks and feels like it will be a good fix. Will update after real world testing.

I Bet the Plasti-dip will work well come t think of it I've also seen some PL parts fail from oxidation and "dry-rot". Let us know....

Host image on service like TinyPic, ImgUr, Google Photo, and use the [img]
tag.

You can also attach the image file but they have to be pretty small to do that.

For Flickr you go to details for the pic and get the bbcode for the size and shape pic you want to post. Paste that right into your post.

I have tried that stuff from harbor freight on some handles. Worked ok. The stuff doesn't bend very well without separating from the item it was supposed to stick to.
Worked ok on a pair of pliers but didn't last to long. Might be that I use my pliers as a hammer from time to time.:D
You'll let us know how it works right?
