im looking to start doing some jumps...
reading posts on here i came to the conclusion i need a flexifoil blade 3 to get a decent amount of lift.
Only current experiance is with radsail pro 2 3 meter. i have flown it it 30mph which was scary. Iv got the hang of flying the radsail but 90% of the
time the wind speed is way to low and its just disapointing...
Im no fool, im not going to be taking the blade out in 30mph...
Thing is im not sure what size to go for...
Im 10 stone so what kind of wind speed should i be looking to fly a 4.9 meter in to get decent lift?
is a 4.9 a good place to start for jumping?

Any particular reason you want a Blade III and not a IV?
At your weight a 4.9 will get you off the ground (it will me at 14 stone or 200 lbs) and will let you down OK if you properly re-direct the kite to
the window. See this tutorial on how to do that ...

Careful with that kite, though...

The blade 4.9 has the nickname the widowmaker. It has a reputation for giving huge lift but dropping / chucking you if not flown just right. Sounds
like you don't get big wind . I think you may be better off in the 6.5 range. then you will have a good sized canopy to use.

Depending on your experience, the Blade 4.9m has a small wind range.. Meaning you'll need a good breeze to fly it, and just a little "to much" wind
and it get serious fast..
Im 240 lbs, and it jerks me up all the time if Im not careful..
Its not a kite you want to fly for fun or relaxation.. YOU gotta stay ontop of this little beast..In my opinion.
If I was to get it all over, I'd get the larger 6.5m too ( could fly it in lower winds ).Because now it feels like Im falling from a rooftop, I land
so fast..lol
Live and learn.
