Anyone Hear from John Holgate lately?

Haven't seen a post or reply from John in a long time. Anyone know if he's doing Ok?

I've had a bit back and forth with him from time to time over email. He continues to be a videographer extraordinaire, but his topics have strayed a whee bit from kiting, resting more in the vein of hedge trimming and bee raising. Yes, I speak truth. Don't chuckle outright; the videos are really quite nice.

Here is a link to his youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6ZEFuVTZHEIOyHiu1uQqRQ

John remains a legend in my book and I for one hope he resurfaces with a vengeance on PKF very soon

Here is his most recent kite related video posted on youtube:

This video is from a mere four months ago. Note the incredible kite he's flying!!! :karate:

Yeah - it would be great for him to come back here.

BTW - notice the nasty looking "critter" that comes running to his buggy around 148.

lol Randy - I had to frame by frame to find out what that was! Thought it might be related to my iguana-sicle!

Glad to hear he's doing well:thumbup: Once in a while I see a long timer fall off the forum and wonder what's up.

Yeah, that darn thing grabbed hold of my axle - I had to do an emergency stop and get some help. It ended up taking four of us to wrestle it off the buggy by which time it had eaten both back wheels and half my kit bag.

Cheers for your thoughts, guys!! I'm doing fine and a bit of kiting now and then - not nearly enough though. I just haven't felt like posting on forums after my little melt down at Kingston 12 months ago where I took things on XK too personally rather than recognizing them for the usual BS that they were.

I did have an absolute blast on the beach at Beachport in South Australia recently with the little 3.5m Longstar 2 - man, that thing's a HOOT in 25 knots. That reminds me, I must do a review of it soon.

All the best from OZ!!
