Not sure if you guys know about this one
This is replacement for Tug Hill Snowkite Rally .
It happens on Presidents weekend Feb 16-19
Mayfield, New York
I think Saturday night is group dinner in restaurant , other then people meet up on the lake by this redtaurant or on other side by public marina
I can dig out details if someone is interested
There is also bunch of ski resorts within 30 min drive and Gore mountain that is the biggest one 40 min away so if there is no wind there is another
way to have some fun .
I am renting 7 bedroom house with my crew and may have some bunk room beds available ....
Let me know if any of PKF kiters plan to go so I can look for you !!.
Cool! Ended up getting a room for Saturday night in Johnstown (about 20 mins from both of the Sacandaga rally launches - Lanzis and Broadalbin).
Forecast is looking good, looking forward to meeting up with you!aronma - 9-2-2018 at 10:42 AM

Back home and quite happy ...
I will make short video soon and maybe some photos , but in general we got lucky
Friday it was windy .... not much snow but ridable
Sat ... no wind except small puffs right before got dark so my crew did Gore Mountain that day
Sat night was snowing !!!!
Sunday wind started at 10am and stayed until 3-4pm . So much fun with all that fresh snow. I have seen about 20-30 cars parked on a lake and about
same amount of kites
Monday ... a bit wet because temps got higher but windy . It was lots of fun in a morning, then snow got wet and slow about 1pm
Good time with many returning kiters and plenty of first-timers , including Jeff . It was nice to meet you in person . I wish I could spend some
more time with you and chat . jeffnyc - 21-2-2018 at 01:45 PM
We'll catch up soon Kober, I'm sure - great to finally meet you as well!
Saturday around 5:30 wind picked up, some folks I met had a nice long ride until dark. Earlier in the day I spent a couple hours getting my 14m up and
down in the little puffs that intermittently blew through, but it was a fools errand (one I'm suited for, obviously) I had just packed my kite and was
freezing, so I didn't get a ride in.
Sunday was a perfect day - tons of kites in the air. I wimped out when the wind picked up, but got a tiny bit of riding in around 3:30-4 when it
smoothed out and got lighter. Between the 2 days I did end up putting every kite I own in the air and ran around a lot - pretty exhausted ...
Hightailed home right after as I had things to do Monday. Would have liked to stay for the dinner and meet the rest of the crew.
