LongStar2 12.5m including original bar and lines $525 including shipping in lower 48. Very good condition.

In the last 3 months, I bought the LS2 and a Peak2 6m from this forum. I am retired and like to sew kites. These kites were bought so that I could study how they were sewn and bridled - before sewing my own large SS kite based off of the SingleSkin0.3 program. I also flew them a couple of times to get a feel for what a 'professional' kite could do.

Full Disclosure: When I received the LS2 12.5m a couple of the bridles needed to be replaced. The previous owner had snagged the lines on something sharp. There was no damage to the kite itself - just a couple bridle lines. I replaced the lines with the similar diameter, pre-stretched spectra. The line lengths were matched exactly to the lines on the other side of the kite.

The Peak2 6m is also for sale. However, since I know Ed Cline also wanted to buy the kite from Cheddarhead, I thought it would only be fair to offer it to him first. If he doesn't respond within a few days, it will be put up on this forum too.

Randy I keep thinking I have a pat hand kite wise, but it's never really true is it?
Anyway if Tom doesn't charge me tax I made my Black Friday purchase.

I purchased this kite from Windstruck on 8-31-18 and here is what he said about it:

"Oh, and for the record, replacement cost before shipping and other charges from Germany is 739 EU for the kite and 349 EU for the bar. At today's EU to USD exchange rate that comes to $1,275. So my asking price of $600 for kite and bar shipped at my cost comes in well below 50%, not "just over half price". Just sayin.... :frog:

Ed - Pleasure doing business with you. Hope you enjoy the Peak2 6m.

The SS project is going well. Built a 2m "test" kite. As designed from the 'sample' kite on the program it tended to overfly and the tips collapsed too often. Re-bridled it and increased the AOA towards the tips. Now she is much better behaved. Although my sewing skills need improvement, I guess either a 4m or 6m is next.

The Longstar 12.5m is still available.
