Here is a Garmin E-Trex Legend H GPS Unit that is a few years old but in near-new condition, having spent most time in a drawer with the original
manual and quick-start user guide. I have an earlier E-Trex that I thought I had lost but of course it showed up when I got this replacement.
When Joan saw this, she was like "WTF you need a GPS for? You are on Jekyll Island and the ocean is right next to you! How can you get lost?" So I
explained that it is a really handy speedometer for the buggy that will show current as well as top speed, distance traveled and other curious facts.
It is waterproof and rugged enough to bounce down the hard-pack sand with nary a care.
They still go for about $80-99 and you can have this for $25 and I will pay postage/ shipping. You will need to supply 2 AA batteries.
Joan and i just bought ourselves an RV for Christmas and a big-arse truck to pull it with. The house is going on the market next week and we are
taking off on the road, so look for a lot of new and used kites and gear real soon. (the truck has a GPS).
BTW, we will be back for JIBE and have already reserved a spot on Jekyll Island camp ground.

Oh I'd love to rummage through the trailer of kite gear. I'll get started by taking this gps. It fits in Popeyes gps holder on the Hero Buggy.
I notice that Ed's post is a minute earlier than my text I sent. I'll take it if he doesn't for some reason. Ed Cline - 9-1-2019 at 01:44 PM
My ipad has been my speedometer, This app has a free version which is all i've needed so far.
I was afraid I was gonna have to get one of those phones with the tv set on the front.
Now I can continue being flip phone old.
edit. that is if I outran that text.
tired of bouncing the ipad.acampbell - 9-1-2019 at 02:37 PM
Ed, you beat Bobby by a minute and the unit is on the way to you via priority mail. We've packed up the house so much that we don't even have mailer
stuff so I went down the street to John Williams (JIBE folks will know him as shipper and receiver of kite stuff)Ed Cline - 9-1-2019 at 04:22 PM
Thanks a bundle. I'll need an email to pay you with. :D skimtwashington - 9-1-2019 at 08:28 PM
New and used kites for sale?..!!?? N+1!
Congrats on the RV purchase.
If your RV travels take you toward Boston, don't forget the Nahant Crew will welcome you to our little Mecca.
Just give us a little heads up when/if you do.acampbell - 10-1-2019 at 05:53 AM
