bindings?

danakachewy - 10-5-2007 at 11:04 AM

does anybody know what bindings will fit a scrub ejector? One of mine ripped and i am in need of a replacement pair.
Has anybody come across the same problem and might know what caused it to rip?

I'm not familiar with Scrub bindings so I can't comment on what you can use to replace them other than the obvious (what you have already).

Also not sure where the bindings ripped but I can tell you that bindings will rip where the bolts pass through them to meet the anchor plate. Make sure you have a washer on the head side of the bolt to spread the load but what I've found is that while the washer helps prevent a pull out of the bolt the washer also cuts the binding and can / will tear it. I just picked up another set of bindings for my board and while I was there another rider did too. Our consensus was that bindings will wear out if you ride hard.

I've been boarding for 14 months now and I've torn my bindings (not bad enough to discard yet), blown a tire, swapped out cubes and performed bearing maintenance (and I ride on grass). Not saying I'm common but I am convinced that there is only so much stability you can build in to these products before you sacrafice the flexibilty and lack of weight a rider desires.

kite surfing sandal straps can work great for landboards.... i've got a pair of Liquid force straps on my mountainboard.... they've been on for years with little signs of wear.
