Dave -
There are a few variations on parapacking, but this is a great step-by-step tutorial:

If you search the threads on this forum you'll find a lot of info regarding who prefers to pack or wind using what method - on handles, parapacking, et al. I personally prefer to parapack or wind my lines on a YoYo winder, with only the last 5-6' around the handles to secure them together.

Others prefer all on the handles, which does have the advantage of making it easier to swap the line and handle set to another kite without unpacking.

I just started to Para-Pack my 5.0 Crossfire and it's been great. For some reason it just wasn't working for me when I was wrapping the handles I would constantly get tangles. I think they only unwrapped twice tangle-free. I have a 1.8 Beamer and have no problems wrapping the lines with that one strange....

Parapacking is kinda funny to me though becuase it doesn't really seem like it should work, I mean basically just stuffing the line in the bag, but I find it to be quicker and cleaner for setup and packup

I have less worries about having to untagle somthing on those nice wind days during setup that always seem to catch me when using the wrap method.

Is it possible that your lines are each twisted making them want to wrap around each other. I had a similar problem. I took each line and walked it out one by one tight between my fingers. It helped a lot but wasn't the perfect solution.

Tried that but the tangles just seemed to messed up.... it's not a big since i have two pairs of lines and handles... in comparison i think I like parapacking better anyway, will proably start parapacking my 1.8m now
