Peter Lynn ARC Setup FAQ - missing files

pbc - 9-7-2019 at 07:37 PM

Today I republished a copy of the Peter Lynn ARC Setup FAQ on my web site. See The Peter Lynn ARC Setup FAQ.

This is from a copy I made shortly before it went offline permanently. Unfortunately, some of the images were already missing by that point. If anyone has a copy of the FAQ with these files, I would love to re-add the missing images. Please share if you can.

Well done Philip!

So much of the early kite internet has been disappearing. Recently, I had a brief email exchange with Powerkiteshop.com. They updated their website (which looks great), but all of the old kites which are no longer available to purchase have been deleted from the site. Google keeps sending you there when you search, but they're gone. I told them that it had been a fantastic kiting resource. They asked which kite in particular I wanted, and when I replied, explaining that I was just researching older models, I got nothing but crickets.
I don't blame them for not wanting to host this archive; it won't make them any money directly.

Seems as if Racekites.com is gone too.

Now how will I know whether the Peter Lynn Pepper is the kite of my dreams or a big mattress? (No, I dont really want to know. I already have a big one to cover my camper with. hahaha)

At least I can still ask here at PKF. <3

I think those files have been missing for a while. I just checked the pdf I made from the site a couple years ago and they aren't there either.
Thanks for putting that online again, that's a very useful site.

edit - just remembered someone on ArcUsers made a copy as well, also with missing images:

Sadly, this is what I expected to hear, but I had to ask. You get nothin' for not trying right?
