they were twice that price a week ago. if you're thinking about it at all, get it now. they're not making landkites any longer.

2.5 blur vs rage?
Jason-G - 17-7-2019 at 01:13 AM
Anybody know how a 2.5 Blur would compare to a 2.5 Rage (original version). I have the rage and use it as my high wind kite in the buggy. This blur
deal does look good but I wonder if there would be any advantage to using it rather than the rage?

The Rage has more pull and grunt. The Blurr wants to go fast. It's happiest at speed. For cruising it's great. For a small area with a lot of stop
and go, turns, and acceleration; not so much in my experience with it.

The Blurr claims that it is , " a kite with one mission - speed!...amazing speed alongside rock-solid stability."
I don't know about that. I tried a 3.5 briefly- so a more experienced user may have a better opinion, But:
Seemed more stable( but 'rock solid'?) than of 'amazing' speed . Almost more Moderate aspect than high aspect. A nice compromise, but it's no
racing kite.
Stability might not be quite as good as lower aspect Rage-in fact...?
Advantage?
You may likely gain better upwind than the Rage , plus go faster.
*It also is of note that Blurr I tried had an Angle of Attack(AOA). this sets up changes of it's power, grunt, lift and such. Don't know if Rage has
AOA adjustment....?

The new Rages include the AOA in the bridle.
