Buggy bag or box

...on the simple PL bag, it holds a spare kite and then some
if you take the time to close it correct it stays dry...but i tend not to take the time
it'll hurt way less when you flip too....i tend to do that some
but a custom box can hold lots and is very cool

Do you mean the PL bag like this one. If so, I have not been able to find one for sale. I do have one on my PL Drifter (sons ride). And when mounted on the flexifoil the opening is facing the wrong direction. (not that big a deal)

Agree that the bags work great. Further agree, sadly, that they are very hard to find. I just perused awindofchange site but didn't see one right off the bat. You might call Ken at this online shop and see if he has one. Sometimes he has parts and pieces like this that don't make it to the webpage. Worth a try anyway.

Another way to go about this is to make a posting in the WANTED section of PKF. I actually did exactly that a couple years ago when I was on the quest for a BLACK PL bag. I had a blue one but wanted the black as it went with my buggy's color scheme. In the end Rick (Wind_dog) most kindly swapped my blue one for his black one. He's just that good a guy.

A high end way to go would be to connect up with buggybags in the UK. They make superb custom seats, bags, and the like. I know several people on this forum that have gone with them after also exhausting other options. Here is their website:

Thanks for all the in put. It looks like everyone is leaning towards a bag.
And abkayak you make a good point of it hurting way less if or when the bug lands on you.

I am going to still try and get a second PL Bag. How ever for now I rigged an old sport bag I had sitting around that was not being used. It holds a 6.5 Pansh kite and a 5.0 Skydog kite.... plus some extras...

Yes that is a great way to go. And actually the pic of my buggy above.. I have a sport bag from Sampsonite mounted between the rails. So what you can't / don't see is the 3/16 MDF frame inside the bag. I basically made a tray that fit inside then I connected Velcro straps thru the bottom of the bag to the tray. That allowed me to attach the bag to the buggy and have a ridged bottom (no sag). It looks clean and keeps the tray out of the elements. Added bonus, all the materials used... I had sitting around the garage, so the cost was unbeatable.
