For Sale: Peter Lynn XR+, Charger IIs, Scorpions, my custom bars, and lots of parts

My friend Nick is moving back to Ohio and asked me to sell his kite buggy gear. It's a lot of gear. Mostly it's Peter Lynn gear, but there's some miscellaneous stuff as well. I'm selling two of my kites with his gear as well. I want everything to go so I'm going to do a dutch auction and keep dropping the price until somebody bites. If you don't think the prices are low enough, just wait a little.

Buggy

Kites

Scorpion 13m RTF - $200 with custom Slingshot bar, with above-the-bar-trim, tethered trimline tail, moveable stopper, a modified Peter Lynn Navigator Chicken Loop, a non-elastic flag line, and 200# Q-Powerline Pro lines. Scorpion 10m RTF - $200 with custom hardwood bar carved from Crepe Myrtle. The bar is made according to the September 2018 Buggy Bar spec. It includes above-the-bar-trim, magnetic trimline tail, moveable stopper, elastic flag line, flag line tether, and no chickenloop. The bar is rigged with 600# Q-Powerline Pro lines. The kite has lots of repairs. All repairs are shown in the attached photo save for the one rib not pictured for obvious reasons. The kite flies great. See the photo album at 10m Scorpion




Bars

Custom Camphor heartwood bar - $40 . Bar includes above-the-bar-trim, tethered trimline tail, moveable stopper, a Peter Lynn Navigator Chicken Loop, and 200# Q-Powerline lines. It has no flag line. See the photo album at Two-tone camphor bar

Ozone custom bar - $80 . Bar includes above-the-bar-trim, tethered trimline tail, moveable stopper, a non-swiveling Chicken Loop, a non-elastic flag line, and 600# Q-Powerline lines. The line has one cut that's been repaired with a figure-eight knot. See the photo album at Ozone bar

Bar upgrades

Note: All of the bars in this sale are of my own construction. They are all older versions of my work. Some are carved from hardwood in my classic shape while others use an off-the-shelf commercial bar. Some have commercial chicken loops while others do not. The trim controls vary. I am happy to modernize any of them to the designs described in State of the Bar Art - September 2018, Buggy Bar Build Book, or a slightly more modern variant not yet published. The bar upgrades cost $6 - $105/bar depending on the amount of work needed. If you go this route, I keep the removed parts to reuse or resell to keep the upgrade costs down. I'll entertain variations on my standard bar plan as long as they are safe. E.g., some people like moveable stoppers and chicken loops and the design is compatible with them. It's a marvelous kite. If I didn't already own one I would have bought this for my own quiver. This is a must-have a size for desert flying.

The Navigator bars are gone. The slingshot bar is gone. The rings are gone. The balls are gone. Thank you, Peter!

I parted out one of the navigator bars so I now have a 75ft quad line set of 600# Q-Powerline. I also have a pair of steering line leaders with self-landing handles. They look like something that would have been included with a Peter Lynn bar, but I don't recognize the model.



I also reduced the prices on the Scorpions and the buggy again.
