Lol, yeah you would thinks so but...

Slingshot has been trying to get rid of them for a while. Im told they have plenty so no real rush to jump.

Do the research before snapping one of these up. I l9oked into it about a month ago. Thought they might be an affordable light wind option for my customers who can't swing the premium light wind options I have but based on first hand reports from people who have time on them and some of the things you see in the few videos you can find of it, you are better off buying a used Chrono, R1, Sonic or Speed IMO.

Too bad as the construction is well suited for winter use.

Snap one up and let us know!

Oof - I bet that brings a tear to the guy who originally paid $3800 for one of these...

For the right person who enjoys something a little more challenging, I imagine that 18m would make a pretty sweet light-wind kite. I know I'm not as concerned about stability on my uber-lightwind kites, since winds tend to be a little more smooth in those conditions. Guessing inflation might be a little more of a challenge though. I watched 3 guys spend a good 30 minutes last year up at the Bighorns trying to get a LF Elite launched; I think they gave up.

Felt a little bad when I gave a quick tug to the front lines of my Zeekai and was off and running. Sometimes there are advantages to open cell kites....

Imagine being a dealer and having them in inventory from when they were current.

And I get liking a challenge, believe me. And I considered purchasing one for myself before recommending it to others. But after doing a little digging and watching it in action on video (which just reinforced what I saw when I saw them flying in person) I decided that it was probably not worth my while.

My feeling is it's very much like the old Ranger debacle. (The last time they go into foils). It could have been a good kite had they finished it. But, that said, with the Ranger mods the Ranger actually became a hell of a fun kite.

But almost worthless $$$ wise.

The Ranger experience now has me considering picking one of these up.

Great...(SMH):mad::D

Didn't Elf or some other company design or build those for Slingshot?

My understanding was Elf had a hand but I can't say for sure.

I was hoping this was going to be a revised Ranger - that kite was the bomb once properly modified and o so cheap on the used market. This sail is an OK price but add in the $500 bar and you'd be better off getting something tried and true for a similar price unless you like to tinker. And for those who do like to tinker, please figure it out and let the world know as a Ranger 2 would be a great thing!

I heard Elf had a hand in it too. Just looking at it, its got a be a screamer once it gets up and running. I would've actually considered getting one if I hadn't recently purchased what I promised myself was my "forever light-wind kite." If there is such a thing...

Construction-wise, it looks really solid.
