Sad day whenever this occurs. Prayers for the family and anyone in the community who knew him.

Last paragraph is especially sad...

"Hannan had not yet secured his helmet to his head before the kite pulled him into the air. He then fell to the ground, striking his head on the asphalt, Chambers said."

:(

Conditions here that day were insane.
Gust factor of 10. 4 to 40 mph.
No one I know would have rigged up.

Please please please. If you are new to the sport,
reach out and find a veteran to mentor you.
PKF community is a great resource. Don't be shy.

Thanks to all the PKF members who looked out for me as a newbie
and helped me learn to have fun but be safe in gear selection,
technique and assessing appropriate conditions.

RIP Zachary.
