Have you ever wanted to build one and haven't? If you can weld; you can build it. If you can't weld; you can learn. Buy a machine and watch some
YouTube videos. It's something you learn by doing.
And bending up the side rails is a non issue. Just watch Popeyes videos.
The back axle could even be made a 2 piece for transportation reasons.
I still think a 100% bolt together one can be made. That opens up building one from more exotic materials that present welding challenges. Chromoly,
aluminum, titanium.
A wood one wrapped in fiberglass would be interesting too. Or one made with thin or weak metal and then wrapped in fiberglass for it's real strength.

Bikes can be made from bamboo and carbon fiber cloth, so I don't see why a kite buggy couldn't be made that way as well.

Nice work! Your lake bed looks like a fun place to ride. I ride on a "beach" which looks a bit like that when my local lake drops enough to get a
good ride. My best local spot.

Looks great! Two thumbs up . I especially like how you mounted the rear axle with rubber mounts. Just enough to take out the harshness of
bumps but not too much to cause unwanted deflection. Very nice! Simple and effective. Well done

My other front fork has the rubber suspension too. The front makes way more difference then the back.
The new welders from Harbor Freight are just fine along with the Lincoln and Hobart stuff from a hardware or tractor store or even get something used.
Once you can weld; you can make do and get by with any machine.
Check out this map of the lakebed. Out to the 10' mark and to 15'. The NE corner of the lake we ride and also the south end.
