solid bar to walk buggy to beach

Looking for ideas on how to make a solid bar instead of my walk of shame rope that I use for towing my buggy to and from the beach.

Xxtreme made one. I have one but I bet there is a picture of it online.

I made one using 1-inch PVC. Glued it all together, then drilled and used screws to reinforce the joints. Used strips of velcro to attach to the foot pegs, and an old wrist strap to pull with.
Unfortunately, I left it on a beach and haven't bothered to make another. If you try it, make one for me too;)
If I get another put together for WBB, I'll post pictures.

Thanks Higuy I was thinking of making it in aluminum pipe but Pvc pipe will work to. Cheers Ali

Martin makes them for his GT-Race buggies. It's pretty simple. It's basically just a big tuning fork with some little pegs facing in on the tips that go into some 10mm holes in the plates of the forks above the front wheel. It's here called the Towbar: http://www.gt-race.nl/products

Hi laddie and lassie am in the process a walk of shame in 15mm aluminum pipe. Use a pipe bender make in the shape I want. Not finished it yet have to get a bolt lathe down to 13mm so it will fit inside the pipe. It breaks down into three parts. Here's photo of it so far. More photos when it's finished.
