now that i have an idea of what i want, how do they fly? it seems to me that these huge wings would be slow and since their massive size. do these big wing kites turn slower or are they at the same speed? i know that different kites fly differently, but just in general, what is the flying behaviors of these kites?

what kite are you talking about?

Generally speaking... big kites fly and turn slowly, respond to pilot controls slowly, and generate a lot of sustained pull as they move slowly through the power zone.

Small kites fly and turn faster, respond to pilot controls quickly, and generate a short burst of pull as they accelerate quickly through the power zone before reaching stall point at the top or sides of the power zone.

Otherwise, each kite has its own personality and will fly / respond differently. What particular kite are you referring to?

You can speedup the turns on lets say 6m. + by going with a shorter set of lines...

The shorter the set the shorter the reaction input, the longer the line set the longer... this will shorten your windwindow and defeats the use of a lg. foil to fly in light winds:sniff:

Well, how about the Symphony 2.7? Im referring to the foil types of kites with wind chambers.
