Bladerunner - 28-6-2007 at 01:15 PM

archkiter - 28-6-2007 at 01:20 PM

Look for the white VW golf with the Ghetto U-Haul Trailer, If we're not on the beach we'll be at the lovely campground just off the hwy on the way to Sunset Beach kitty corner to the shop with the awesome cinnamon buns.

Thanks a bunch for hosting us at Sunset this weekend !!!
It was a joy to meet you and to see what all the buzz is about. That is one PERFECT PLAYGROUND that you folk have to play on. I got a good taste of just how far and fast you must be able to go with stronger onshore than we got on Canada Day. I never thought I would find sand that the Coyotes would run on  :cool2: Riding along with , and PASSING cars was a first for me!

:saint: :wink2: ( legally )

Count me in for September.

Must be getting old or something Jon.:frog:

Good to finally meet you Stacy, Glad to see you again Jim.

Now counting the days to SOBB

archkiter - 3-7-2007 at 01:38 PM

Yeah it was nice to finally meet all you canucks in person. Wish the wind had been a bit stronger on Sunday but it was still fun. That was the first time that I've gotten to experience perfectly onshore winds with the buggy

Yeah, a little more wind would have been nice, then we could have done a group run to the shipwreck or something. Next time if we get decent wind even if it's not straight onshore I plan on doing a group run, I'll arrange a tow back if needed after the run. Nothing like blasting down the beach with a bunch of buddies.

OreBeamer - 4-7-2007 at 02:29 PM

It was great to see how it's really done.

Thanks for all the help and letting us use your board Paul!
I'll send you something on the side about a board.

It was good to meet you as well Jim!

I'm still recovering, arms are real sore. I guess that's why they use harnesses. :P

There's a chance I might be up there this weekend(7th) as well.

until next time
Sean

Sean,
Was that your or your Bud' that took the bang on the head ? Is it as bad as it looked ? I smacked the hard pack a good one and was glad I was wearing helmet. I clearly should have worn knee pads as well. Don't know how, but both knees are a mass of bruises.

OreBeamer - 4-7-2007 at 03:08 PM

Snowbird -
Yeah That's me! Sorry we didn't offically meet. Were you the one on the skates?
My buddy is doing good talked to him yesterday. He probably could have used a stitch or two but, he didn't want to go in. I took some pictures of it Here's the Link
disclaimer: if you don't like blood don't look at the link. (Don't wanna get the message blocked)

He was all hot to get back out there today, but my arms are pretty beat up and needed a couple extra days to recover. We might make it out there again this Saturday.

Seriously need to think about getting some toys soon.. I'm addicted!

Yes, I was the one with the skates. Sorry I didn't get to say Hi. I arrived late and was busy getting my stoke. Before I had a chance to stop by ( and say, can I try your Beamer ;) ) you had to leave. You folks have my dream place to ride ! Sunday was an onshore wind. I think it was actually beyond my imagination that a beach could offer SO MUCH ! And for so many miles.
I think I may have bought the ATB you used. I now have that big orange MBS board Paul had with. I'm glad to hear you didn't get scared off by the bump. You guys were doing great !!! See ya in September !

Pablo - 4-7-2007 at 05:33 PM

Yeah, the first couple times out kiting powered up your arms and shoulders will hate you, Trust me, it gets better in time. Harnesses will also help but you want to be sure your good with kite control first as it's a little harder to get unhooked if you get it wrong.

archkiter - 5-7-2007 at 12:00 PM

I'm planning on being out there on Sunday (7/8) again....
