I found a pivoting roller spreader bar the other day on the net, and now have no idea where in the heck it is. It seemed like a real sweet set-up,
allowing the roller to pivot to either side. Does anyone know where I can but one of these in the U.S.?
Thanks.

who makes it?
Dakine Pivot bar?

It's made by Libre. I'm open to other styles that people recommend, but this seemed like a pretty logical set-up. I don't want to wast money, but I
also hate buying one thing only to find out I really needed something different. Basically, I'm not happy with my hook as there's too much friction.

I have a roller that does not pivot on my spreader bar and it works great. Talking with people to use the hook I found that it chews up the link line
so you have to replace it often.

Hi Susan,
No problem with it falling off when you're slack? Another question just came to me- Can it be mounted upside-down, or does it really matter? The one I
linked to appears to rotate as well as pivot.

I have never had the strap line come off of the roller when I buggy. I would think the roller needs to be on the bottom. I can not see where it
would work upside-down I would think the strap would come off real easy.

There is something like this from Peter Lynn....

The strop can come off in a bad jibe and/ or if you luff the kite but that can happen with a hook, too.
This pivots up and down which is useful.

Angus, your link brings you to a page where "no product is found".

Yes I'm sorry; I learned just today from the PL Distributor in the US that it is no longer available, so I yanked it. I'm trying to source the Libre
version.

Angus,
We have a couple of these left in stock if you need them. Give me a call.

Thanks Kent; you are a good sport. I've already re-directed the inquiring customer to your site.
For me, I'll go to the local West Marine and look at a pulley block and a Spectra shackle.
