I finally found i day were i cpuld take my board and my kite out, it waswsnt the funnest time though. 'Barly enough wind and i was in a soccer feild
with really high grass......i mmoved about...........10 feet
every time i started goign the kite just lost power cuz i was srating out sorta down wind then turning so i would be cross wind but b4 i even turned
to go vross wind i would loose power....i think this was just cuz of the wind,
every time i put the kite at the zenith it almost isntaly started to fall

I'm not a good 'board rider but the dynamics are the same for my bug. If you start out straight downwind, you lose power right away because you
chase your own kite. Start at about 45 degrees downwind and start to harden up or turn to accross the wind the moment you start to move.
Increase the power of the kite by keeping it moving in the window. When going real slow and just starting to accelerate, this may mean even flying it
in the opposite direction for a moment to get to a point where you can dive it down in front of you for a power stroke. As you pick up speed and keep
working the kite you will be scribing a big sine wave in the air as you bring it up and down in the window, pumping it for power.

ya... i was sarting about 45 degree angle...i no not directly down wind.....and i think im just like forgetting about the wind window wind i first
start out since my back isnt to the wind....like im looking at it from my perspective and not they way the wind is blowing

In tall grass you will have a ton of resistance. The resistance will hold your board back and the kite will race to the edge of the window and stall
out. You will need to have good kite control and "sine" the kite up and down just off to the side of the center of the wind window to keep enough
power in the kite and get you going. Can't park and ride in tall grass unless you are already moving good.
Starting off at 45 degrees to the wind is correct, but you will need to work the kite up and down through the power until you get some speed built up
in your board. When you get moving start turning your board upwind while "sining" your kite. Eventually you will be able to sine less and ride more
(if you have enough wind). The terrain you ride on makes a huge difference in how hard you have to milk the kite for power. Keep working at it and
you'll get it.
