what size Bullet?

Sthrasher38 - 1-8-2007 at 08:07 PM

Sorry 4.5 Its going to pull like hell on two lines.

Try it - I flew a 10.5m Blade III on 2 two lines with the brake bridle removed before.

Downside is you lose a lot of control...

Why is is that people remove the brakes off the blades? I dont have to take the brakes off the bullet do I?:puzzled:

Kitesurfers did it: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Chris_K48/

It really simplifies things with only two lines :spin:

No you do not need to remove your bridles - just run your brake lines to a center line for a safety.

People, the bar setup thread's been going around for a while now,

Simple bar setup, run a line through the centre pully, have it extend about 1/2 m past the bar, put a single pulley on the end of it, extend the lines off the bar ends by 1m, put another 1m line through the pulley on the centre line and tie a knot on each end, attach one brake line to each of the centre pulley line end knots. This will allow the brake lines to walk from one side to the other while turning the kite hard, takes about 5min to make up, keeps the original safety working properly and still allows reverse launching. Hook the centre line up to your harness/KK

I can draw a pic if needed. For larger kites that need brake input to turn fast, the pulley bar works great.

Thanks pablo. I may need that picture.

My 4.5 Bullet came set up as 2 line on a bar. It was used by Real Kiteboarding as a trainer. It flew O.K. that way. I tried it without the cross over pulley system straight on to a 4 line bar and it was awful. Much better with the cross over. Handles still are best with this kite IMHO.

If you fly 2 line you can wrap the brakes up and stick them down with the Croc grips on the bullets.

But of course you are going to sell the bullet :smug: NOT !!!!
