Sunscreen

Any recommendations for sunscreen that doesn't get in you eyes and burn?

The stuff I've been using lately has been killing me. Get's in my eyes and burns at the worst times. :flaming:

yeah, I've used two different ones that are for "sports". both are supposedly waterproof too.

I know it seems like a silly question but it's not really when you are blasting down the beach and can't see out of one or both eyes...

surely someone has found something that works for them :)

Are you wearing some sort of glasses, I have the same problem all the time, for me it's usually caused by wind in the eyes getting them to water or sweating, either way, beach grime ends up in my eyes and blinding me, Sunglasses or clear safety glasses seems to really reduce the problem.

I'd guess sunscreen for kids probably would sting less if it gets in your eyes?

If you're on a wet beach and spray and sand is coming up in your eyes though, I'd recommend some motocross goggles. Looks pretty ridiculous but keeps everything out of your eyes.

Bullfrog worked great this weekend- no burning eyes & my sunglasses do a pretty good job keeping the sand out- Yes, I was much happier being able to see! Thanks :)

Stace,

Bullfrog! I use it when racing tris and never had a sweat dripping in the eyes/burning issue. Waterproof and and last a long time! Good stuff thats been around since the late 80s. First time I used it was during the Ironman Triathlon in '88! Applied it before the swim and 10 hours later no burning! Of course I was stationed in Guam at the time so pail skin wasnt an issue. SPF goes up to 50ish I believe so when have those 5 or 6 days a year you need it:lol:!! Id trade our heat for your huge beaches anyday!
