Am i right in thinking if my jumps are going very horizonal and not so much vertical im jumping too early, with the kite too low in the window?B-Roc - 6-8-2007 at 02:28 PM
Depends... lower aspect kites are designed more for pulling than lifting so they tend to have minmal lift and more forward / horizontal movement which
may be what you are experiencing as opposed to dramatic upward lift of aggressive kites like the blade, bego, etc.
When jumping, for maximum lift, you do want that kite moving high in the window in the opposite direction you are moving upon take off before you
redirect.
What are you flying.5m1FF - 7-8-2007 at 09:57 AM
Blade IV 6.5m. So its not the kite, its definitely me. But ive got the timing of ma kite now (only had it about a week, out 4-5 times), i wasn't
yanking the kite up high enough or fast enough in the window, so i'd jump when the lift started, and the kite would stay in the power zone, and honk
me forward, rather than straight up; like it should.
Cheers for ya help!KYTE SLINGER - 9-8-2007 at 08:14 PM

don't jump with the kite.. That's sound stupid, but if you jump then you'll lose any sling-shot effect ..let the kite HAUL you upSthrasher38 - 17-9-2007 at 04:26 PM
Take it from KYTE SLINGER I have seen him get huge air! And he is right you should run, but not have to jump. Be careful with that kite in the wrong
conditions you'll go higher than you want to before you know it. It sounds like you just have not had the right wind conditions. My Blade 2 6.4 will
pop my 220lb.butt off the ground in around15-17mph.A 6.5 in those winds on hight lift setting you should not have a problem.5m1FF - 18-9-2007 at 09:23 AM
Figured it all out now, was just me being a stupid twat. I'm fully in love with my blade now, lol.
