Just home !
It looks like a whole new bunch will be there all week + of course the die hard crue. Pack your bags + buggy there's still time to go !
This is my 1st time at SOBB and I chose to go SOBB lite ! Having heard Pablo's tales about Buggy Town I chose to stay at a campground at the beach
enterance. The weekend is what I went for, SOBB LITE. No organized racing or anything . Just all out fun and friendly. I think the bet's are about to
be laid and played during the week!
The numbers kept growing over the weekend. I never counted but think there were 30 - 40 folks out so far.
What can I say about that beach ? NIRVANA + . The hard pack is so Smoooth and grippy yet loose enough to spin or burn off power perfectly. The dunes
are CRAZY !!! AND there's about 18 miles of both !!!!
What an honour to have met so many of the " Old School " . We are talking some hard core riders with the gear to do the job ! When I put my itty bitty
flexi next to these Libra hard core ++ machines it clearly matches where I am as far as skills go !
I got a few runs in with the Coyotes and for me that's what it's all about !
Pack your bags Folks. IT'S STILL ON !!!!

I can echo snowbirds comments- it was an awesome weekend and it is still going on through next weekend. It was really cool meeting some of the folks
who have been out there doing it since the sport was born pretty much.
Saturday we had light winds to begin with then things picked up to 10-15mph. The tide came in pretty quickly but still got some good flying in. No
wind in the evening when the tide went out again so- just enjoyed the party at buggy camp. Boy what a party that was!
Sunday winds started out light and the tides were a bit more favorable. Started out for an hour or so on my 6m then the winds really started to pick
up to around 15-20mph (and a bit gusty) so I had a go on a 2m brooza (thanks Pablo!)- nice kite and had lots of fun playing with a bit more wind.
Pablo was out there with a 4m Brooza and got some nice speed runs in- I think he said he got up to 46+ mph! Another great day- topped off with
another night of partying.
Monday- mellow winds but enough to get moving ok with the 6m. The wind was fairly onshore where we had all setup (nice!). Went for a long run down
to the shipwreck (about 6 or 7 miles one way) and almost got skunked on the way back. The wind shifted a bit and dropped a bit so it was slow going
and lots of tacking to get back, but I made it back just as the wind completely disappeared- whew!
All in all a great weekend with lots of great people- honestly I didn't meet anyone that I didn't like. I'll be out there again next weekend for the
end of the event.
Can't wait to see everyone again!
