grass stains

Got my first buggying grass stains... . I've been playing it safe for a long while - underpowered, learning to work the kite and keep upwind. The wind picked up while I was out in the buggy on a soccer field. Blade Mk1 3.3m - I had some nice 2 wheel rides as I figured out how to finesse the power,... I learned that it doesn't take much to go from two wheels to no wheels in gusty conditions. I learned a lot and played it safe. When I came into the house grinning my wife wondered what I'd been up to,... until she saw the grass stains. Being powered up through the turns was great,... the grass stains only happened when I got overly confident in my new found abilities... . A little slice of humble pie.

Blade is a pretty wild kite to be learning on, your doing great. The blade isn't the nicest dirty wind kite and can kick your butt pretty quick. I usually lend my PL Reactor to people a great beginner/ intermediate kite, good speed and handles gust well. If you take her up top she will handle nasty winds and sit waiting.
I recently picked up a Sabre 9.5M and had it butt scud me across a large field in seconds. Glad I was geared up and wearing my full seat harness. Don't think I'm going to keep the Sabre, like my race kites too much and just not the same control.
Hope to make it to Swift Current this year, meeting a few of the Winnipeg boys and getting lots of time in the buggy.

Cheers
