SA2 & Dirtsurfer in 5 - 6 mph winds

SecondWind - 18-11-2007 at 07:18 PM

I was expecting about 10 mph winds when I left for the field this afternoon.

When I got there, the winds were only 5 - 6 mph on my wind meter

So I added the 6m extension lines that come with the Silverarrow and I launched it not expecting much.

I was really surprised - I reached a top speed of 18 mph on my 16" Dirtsurfer in almost no wind! This was on a grass soccer field.

Once I got moving - it slowly just kept picking up speed

I did 6 miles back and forth until the wind dropped to around 4 mph and that was it.

Can't wait to try her out in the snow

I was thinking of how cool it would be to stud the tires with nails and do some frozen lake action like the motorcycles do. Maybe even some blades could be retrofitted for some super high speed runs. Now if only it got cold enough here to actually follow through with it....
