Bullet 3.5 Advice

compkiler - 25-5-2004 at 11:37 AM

Hello lads, i went to the beach 2 days ago and i couldnt believe how much fun kitesurfing looked! I found out from some of them details about how to go about it and they said to start with just gettin a power kite!
I went out today and bought a Bullet 3.5!
I hope that was the right choice but i can wait to get it out now hehe!
The chap in the shop was great and really helpful getting it out and showing me all about the bridle etc!
I really cant wait to get this thing flying :-) But have i made a good decision ! ? !
Btw the guy took my ropes from me and said he would stretch them for me as they would need streching 1st which i said was quite good of him! Anyway any feedback would be great!
PS. lovely little site u have here!

Hy again, i took my kite out today, was amasing! hehe!
I was gettin pulled all over the shop and was absolutely nackered!
I been looking for a buggy now as i know im gona love this hobbie!
What do u think to this buggy on this link below? If u have any suggestions please post a reply as i am a new starter to power kiting! :singing:
i will probably play on the local fields nearby to start with then venture to the beach in about a month or so!
Would i need the larger wheels that this buggy offers?
Thanks you for you time!

Hello Simon,
Got one of those not too long ago, and from what I feel, along with experienced and experts buggiers comments, this buggy should last you a long while, compare to other entry level buggies.
Enjoy it.

bought a bullet 3.5 as my first power kite, have 2 say i think its excellent fun i only weigh in at 9 stone so i get plenty air. The only problem i have found is that when u do get air ( 6'ft or so ) it drops u like a brick, i thinl a biggger kite would lift and hold you. can anybody tell me if this theory is right please ?.

The bigger the kite the more of a parachute effect it will gove you on the way down - but you need to fly them in much less wind for the same lift :o
Anything will lift you in the right wind but it has been said over and over that the safest way, if there is one, to kite jump is with a big kite in a low wind - the lift and drop are both much more controlled and predictable.
