Looking for some wide open spaces/parks for possible landboarding this weekend in PHX or scottsdale when I visit. Anybody have a bead on some good
spots if wind allows.

Hi Bourck,
My buddies and I stayed at this hotel in North Scottsdale. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the place for the life of me. My buddies don't
kite and I brought my kites hoping to find some empty dirt field in the desert. As luck would have it, this park was right across the street. The link
below only shows a portion of the park.

This field picked up a south and north wind and the other soccer fields were facing south to north so they would pick up a west or east wind. Either
way the wind blew, you were covered.
I went to the park every day for 3 days and I never saw any soccer players..had the whole field to myself. The grass was thick but trimmed really,
really short so it made for some great landboard/buggy runs.
...and when I went in late August, the wind was fairly consistent and blew from 13-20mph for hours at a time.
There is a great nightclub called Barcelona if you're into that sort of thing and this park was about .5-1 mile north east of it. I'm sure if you ask
them the name of this park they would know what it was called and where it was located. Just say it's a park that has tons of soccer fields with
lights, etc.
Hope that helps.
