This year I get the BEST Christmas present EVER ! A pass from the Doc. to get back at it ! :wow:
I have to say I am at the point I have to think about what I want for Christmas. The kites I might buy are too expensive to ask for as a gift. Last
year was a GPS and this year a wind meter is the wish. I don't even really feel I need a wind meter but it was all I could think of at 1st.
Some semi-affordable ideas I have had since are , better knee / shin pads, or, A mountable camcorder like Khooke is using.
What's on your Wish List :?: DenisLaMenace - 1-12-2007 at 03:03 PM
Today I just bought a brand new Psycho3 10m for this winter
So it would be hard to get more from Santa Claus but what's next on my list is the Spleene board I want before some Cuba vacations later this winter.1oldkid - 1-12-2007 at 03:47 PM
I asked for one of the camera's too, (I think it's a go!)... since the wife knows eventually she'll have something to send to funniest home video's,
and to PKF! :frog:macboy - 1-12-2007 at 06:25 PM
Ditto that on the Camera. The helmet mounted Oregon Pacific should be all I need to destroy as much as I'd love the remote camera Archos ; )
The wife looked the other way for me while I was ramping up the quiver and the safety gear although I refrained from impact shorts and added those to
the list as well. Still, I've done so much pre Christmas Christmassing for myself that I'll have to let it be and only buy for others.
It'll be odd since I usually use "my Christmas gift to myself" as the one that breaks the seal on the wallet before I start shopping for everyone
else....Sthrasher38 - 13-12-2007 at 06:52 PM
Someone to help me eat all the cookies my 4yr old girl leaves for Santa! Bless
her heart. She says he is big so he gets really hungry.Deadhead - 13-12-2007 at 07:14 PM
Well, my Christmas presents are all on the way or already arrived. Now I have to figure out something for the wife..........wonder if she'd like a
nice new low wind kite, or maybe a new buggy??Sthrasher38 - 13-12-2007 at 07:21 PM
Where did you go? What did you get? And she would love one.popeyethewelder - 19-12-2007 at 03:14 PM

Popeye, I wish for all the best to you.BeamerBob - 20-12-2007 at 05:12 AM
My dad is my best friend so I can imagine your emotions right now. We'll hope and pray he comes out of this turn well powered with a tight sail.macboy - 20-12-2007 at 08:06 AM
Ditto that on the dad thing - my dad had a heart attack this summer and really hit home to all of us. That's nothing compared to cancer though. You're
in my thoughts Popeye.Bladerunner - 20-12-2007 at 05:56 PM
One of my big regrets is that my Father didn't get to join me kiting. I actually started kiting to avoid taking pills after He and a series of others
passed quickly. That really hit home when I saw your Old Boy flying your Beamer , Bob ! The 3 generations out together is just plain COOL
I hope all of you can enjoy good health and a good time with your Fathers this Festivus and always !!! No one more than you Popeye !VOL - 21-12-2007 at 11:20 AM
Hi,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Been flying for a year now. Biggest kite I've flown is the 7M Ozone. I have a 14M Ozone Frenzy 07 waiting
for my courage to show up,lol. Happy flying and happy living.

My dad bought me the Beamer and the symphony. He actually got me into this. My older son likes this as much as I do. He is good at it too. What is
fun is to see my son give my dad advice on flying techniques and my dad listens! My younger son (8) just mastered the symphony and he gets some 4
line experience this week for sure. We will be able to fly together this weekend and next week in Orlando. My dad doesn't like the crossfire. He
didn't let go when the wind started to win. I'm gonna give him his confidence back with the beamer. It won't bite in normal winds. Bottom line is
that we are thinking about you Popeye. By the way, you stepped up in my mind when I saw that you are or were in the military. Good luck to your dad
with his recovery.wolla - 25-12-2007 at 02:56 AM
WooHoo... got my DaKine Tabu Harness, my flexifoil Extreme Bar (60cm, but it says its designed for the blade 4.9 so hopefully will be ok) and my
Pansh Ace 5m...
the Pansh came wth lines that according to the unofficial pansh forums, will need to be stretched, and some low quality handles... all in a tote bag,
that it will never fit into again.. lol..
anyone else get something cool?
P.S. just looked out my window... no wind... maybe i'll pop down to the coast for a fly a little later.. hopefully there might be some wind down
there..NPWfever - 25-12-2007 at 10:32 AM
Wolla the handles aren't low quality its the apperance that gives them a cheap reputation. The build quality is just as good as any other handle, but
the appearance is not. They work great for me, but the padding is minimal, go down to a sports store and buy 2 rolls of hockey tape, it will solve all
your issues. I didnt stretch my lines and if they have stretched, they did so equally. You will probably want to check them though. And it will fit in
the bag again you just need to fold it right, then sit of it til it gets thin then you have about 10 seconds to get it in the bag. Good luck and Merry Christmas!jantie - 26-12-2007 at 08:42 AM

when you hear that someone close to you has this disease, it really puts other thing into perspective..
hope that your wish comes true Carl.
my wish for 2008 is to be able to make make more buggy-miles (3400 so far..) than i did in 2007.
merry X-mas everyone, and a Perfect 2008
(beware of fireworks, you need your eyes and hands in a buggy..:wink2: )USA_Eli_A - 29-12-2007 at 06:50 PM
i always miss my parents during the holidays. I'd give anything for one more season of kiting with my dad. Have one more hot meal hand delivered by
my mom at the beach. Plus all the crap they gave me about wearing sandy clothes in the house.
Hope all is well for everyone!
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year
