I was always tempted to attempt to start a kiting club at my High School. It would be a great way to get more people into the sport, and an excuse to
get out and ride more! I was talking to the folks over at Racekites.com, because they have a large UK population, and they seem to all band together
in clubs. They have me thinking I can pull it off. Now, I want the North American opinion on the idea. (Considering there is a stronger north american
population on this forum.)
Anyone think this is possible? Any advice? If I do start this club, I have to present to the school board, so if anyone has any good articles on
kiting, safety, etc, I'll be happy to read it so I can write a more convincing essay, I'd be more then happy.NPWfever - 4-12-2007 at 07:59 PM
I started one at my school, went off without a hitch, but all I needed to do was submit some paper work, no essays, fun tho cuz I have gotten a few
into the sport at my school. I say GIVE IT A GO! Where are you located? Dude are you my clone? PANSH, cheap equipment, in high school, maybe in U.S.

I thought the same exact thing when I saw all of your homemade fun. I don't think I have bought legitimate products outside of kiting, I just make
them.
I'm in the Philadelphia area. My school is getting quite strict about clubs. Used to be all about just being able to get together with people of like
interests after school, and now its about making sure everyone is safe. The middle school in my district has had 5 bomb threats that closed the school
already. The threats stopped when the students learned they had to make those days up in summer.
So, if you have a club going, I do know is possible! I'll start getting the forms and planning stuff today.
