field maybe? I hope your looking. We may miss it. Well I will keep my fingers crossed. If I dont hear from I know I will be out somewhere. 10-20
mph!!
DAKITEZ - 7-12-2007 at 07:04 PM
I will be there, but I will have to bail around 1 pm. If the family doesn't go I will probably be headed that way around 9 am. If anyone in the area
can post a wind condition in the morning that would be appreciated.
Sthrasher38 - 7-12-2007 at 07:22 PM
I will be there at 11:30 at the latest you may be a little lonley until then. The other guys said they would be there about 11:00 or noon. So we will
see what happens. All I can do is pray that we get some good wind!:saint:

Man what fun I had that day. Everyone there that day was very helpful! Dagon was there too and I got my tooth fixed Thanks Dagon. It was the first
time I got to see more than Two kites in the air at the same time. There were four of us And everyone had a bug new old homemade it was great! The
feeling I got crusing down that grass on my bug was serine. I only had a few good passes but it seemed at times that I was the only one there I kinda
went some where when I was riding. Does that make sense? Try to remember back when you first started and maybe you'll know what I mean. Someone said a
while back that The Thrasher family was changed forever he was right. Can't wait to go again. I got crusing real good on one pass water started flying
everywhere I got soaked Then spunn out it was so cool! Thanks everyone for
showing up and sharing. Art-lessing please post where that jump is that your buddy took of me so I can see it. Thanks.
Dagon - 10-12-2007 at 09:51 AM
Your welcome Thrasher, I was happy to help you out. We gotta keep the kite community looking good, people might think you busted your tooth doing
those crazy kite jumps. here is a link to the before and after photos of your tooth if you want to see them.

there are also some photos of my home made buggy bag. I got a duffel from the thrift store and sewed on straps to fit the back of my vmax.

Dagon, you just "happen" to be able to repair teeth while kite flying? You did this at the sod field? You just can't make up stuff like this!
Dagon - 10-12-2007 at 10:36 AM
I am a dentist and my office is in Davis about 1 mile from the sod farm, that is why we have permission to fly at the fields because the owner of the
farm is a patient of my partner dentist. We went to the office after flying.
It would be fun to have a mobile dental clinic, i could take it to NABX and SOBB.
DAKITEZ - 10-12-2007 at 10:59 AM
Dagon I wish I was still there to meet you, unfortunately I had to leave early. We emailed back and forth a few times, but still haven't met. I just
wanted to say thanks for sharing the field with others. Its a great spot, though I won't go back unless invited. I don't want to abuse your spot and
risk upsetting the owner of the field and blowing it for everyone.
BeamerBob - 10-12-2007 at 11:03 AM
I pulled up Davis on Google Earth and couldn't believe the tabletop fields all around the city. Is it really as good as it looks from above? What a
playground!
DAKITEZ - 10-12-2007 at 11:16 AM
It doesn't get much better than the sod field. Nice grass with no weeds or stickers, no people to get in the way, no searching around for a park like
the beach, no trees or other things to get in the way or mess up the wind. I'm just still sick I had to leave early, but I had a great time the few
hours I was there.
Sthrasher38 - 10-12-2007 at 05:53 PM
Check out that smile!:D Thanks again Dagon excellent job! How do you like that guys? Flying with a smile.:tumble: True story Bob. I'll support the
mobile clinic too.
Sthrasher38 - 11-12-2007 at 08:30 AM
Today is the 11th! And the wind is ripping from the north at 18-25mph. I may play hookie from work today! Anyone else?
Mrlucky - 11-12-2007 at 04:02 PM
I hope to join you guys soon, I am not sure it will be good for my pocket book though. One look at the fun and I am sure I will want to buy a buggy.
art_lessing - 12-12-2007 at 04:32 PM
or you could build one!
Sthrasher38 - 18-12-2007 at 01:45 PM
Bump! Today is the 18th. and it is ripping at 20 gusting to 30! any takers? It is also raining hard. I thought about going but I really cant thrash
the new car and the smallest kite I have is 3m. But I guess that would work.
DAKITEZ - 18-12-2007 at 02:43 PM
