Guerilla 2 bar

voodoo_dr - 9-12-2007 at 07:42 PM

I just purchased a used Guerilla 2--15- Tried to fly in about 12 kt and it wouldn't stay in the air. I was using the bar from my Switchblade 2 (Cabrinha 121).. Can anyone tell me if a typical 4 line C kite bar will work. I think the bow kite line length was the issue. Any ideas?

Thanks all

Curious about this too.

By wouldn't stay in the air do you mean it wouldn't fly to zenith ? Back lines too short.
Would fly up but not respond right ? Back lines too long.

I'm not sure but I think a Bow bar would have too much travel. You would over sheet ??

PL kites like long throw bars, people are taking their stock bars and modding them for more throw. I'd check line lenghts, The Guerilla should like slack rear lines.

How was the inflation when you tried to launch it. In low wind Arc's are horrible for inflating properly. They also have serious low wind performance issues. I've got a 16m Scorpion and I won't even try and fly it in 10-12knots.

Was it inflated and just not climbing, or not inflating at all?

any 4line should work IF:

the main/steering lines are same length and there is lots of bar travel to slack out the steering lines.

I'm with powerzone

I have a 9m G2. My older Airrush bar works fine with 8.5" range in the trim strap and 15.5" bar travel. It likes loose rear lines, so I have knots on the front pigtails to move front lines 3" closer to the kite to keep the rears slack. I've used it in 12 kts - only get a little power if I work the kite, but it fills and zeniths fine.
