Just got in a new 8m Flysurfer Pulse 2.
Looks good
There was not enough wind for the 8m. However, the SA2 got me cruising on skis in 7 mph winds today.
Here are a few pics of the Pulse. I'll report back in once I get to fly it!

I see that your Pulse does not have the FDS but the FLS
I think the FLS is ok with a low wind kite since you may rarely use it, but with the 8m, I would like to have your feedbacks testing it when it blows
!!
just curious to know.

I'm missing the FDS with my SA2. It's just hard to land by myself in winds over 10 mph.
I'm going to try the FLS with the Pulse first, but I think I'll go for the fifth line...

DaVinch -
Is FDS an option instead of standard on the new Pulse II's? I don't follow FlySurfer much. I will say I put the equivalent to a fifth line FDS on
two of my kites - the VioKite and my Kitesurfer XXL that is re-bridled as depower, and it is nice .

It comes standard with the FLS and you can add on FDS.
I used the FDS a bunch with my 7m Pulse 1 - it was really helpful in big winds when packing up..

I had a chance to ski with it yesterday in low winds - feels really good so far
Winds are 20 - 35 mph today. Not sure if I'm going to try it out :?:

Try it try it!!! It should be in it's zone! :D
Can't wait to get a 12m!
SecondWind - 22-12-2007 at 08:09 PM
You were right Dom. No problems at all - even with the ocassional gusts(maybe 30 mph). The winds were not as crazy as the forcast.
The huge amount of depower really helps. I flew it for about 2 1/2 hrs today.
Didn't have a chance to try the FLS or reverse launch yet.

Hey DaVinch....another good run for ya...really clocking those miles!
So how does the new Pulse compare to the Pulse 1 - Flight characteristics, depower, etc??
SecondWind - 22-12-2007 at 10:01 PM
It feels a lot like your 7m Pulse (which I really enjoyed).
I didn't jump much today with it (ground/snow was rock hard), but it feels like it has more "pop" and more depower.
However, I'm just an average skier. In the hands of the Pros the difference is probably more pronounced.

Hows the turning speed and bar pressure? compare to a p3..?
SecondWind - 24-12-2007 at 08:54 AM
Dom - it turns really fast. However, I've been flying the 19m a bunch so my idea of fast is kind of warped.
The bar pressure feels similar to the 10m P3 and 7m Pulse 1.
One thing I noticed yesterday was the huge amount of depower. Pretty impressive...
Also, I couldn’t get it to collapse, overfly, or fall out of the sky – it’s really stable.

Any other Pulse 2s here on the PKF yet?

SecondWind - 27-12-2007 at 03:41 PM
Sounds good pz - I'm looking forward to the review
powerzone - 28-12-2007 at 09:17 AM
i haven't had a chance to even fly it yet... been busy modding, repairing, Christmas, Family... etc.
at least the weather has been lousy so i'm not missing out on good conditions..
either zero wind and raining or 30knots and raining or 33 Degrees and raining.
this summer at the Gorge will be the best review time .... then i'll really see what this kite can do
