Has the wind ever "said" that to anyone else or is it just me? Out walking the dog this morning, knew it was blowing so I took my anemometer with me
so that when we got to the field I could see if it was too much or me. Good 18-22 km/h average with one gust to 34 and another a few mins later to 28.
Anticipating a drop, I go home, suit up, pack up and walk out to the field. Re-line the Rage from my bowtie in Calgary, scud a bit to make sure the
kite's okay - pulling good, seems to be the kite I once knew, put on ski boots, step into skis, take the handles, get a weak downwind and then
nothing.
Nothing at all. Is there an off switch I don't know about, and if so, is there an "on" switch too?
I was so disappointed. Wife says it's because the man upstairs knew how much other stuff I had to get done today.......

Sounds like the story of my life

I've looked all over, but I can't find the on switch.

Similar story. I was looking at the wind readings from 2 locations, both around 14-17mph, about 1mile apart right on the coast. I went to a location
right inbetween them, walking down a long road to the beach. No wind. Nadda. Long walk back...

I can't tell you the # of times I'm sitting at work and a perfect wind is blowing. I hit the park and it's gone. I know it's really happening because
the wind in that location is online. I go home to see the bottom of the graph!

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!! THE HANDLES/BAR IS THE ON OFF SWITCH!!! The whole time you are setting up there is wind! Pick up the handles/bar and the wind
stops! On is the handles on the ground and off is them in the air!!!! Damn!!!! Maybe leave and extra set by your stuff.
