tridem buggy - three is not a croud

jantie - 7-1-2008 at 02:30 PM

You all know the saying that three is a croud, but not in this case.
I already made and tested succesfully a tandem configuration
but we wanted a little extra fun and challenge, so i made an extra buggyseat-rearaxle with an shorter wheelbase.
the reason is that it will breakout easier being the last in the row of 3.
and as you can see in the movie it works as it should be.

the first serious test yesterday was with not to much wind,
and also not from the best angle we hade hope for.
but still we were albe to reach almost 40 MPH.

in the front i used a Libre Vampir Race Pro 8.8m2.
the second buggyer used a Ozone little Devil 6.0m2
and the tirth used a Pkd Joy 6.5m2

knowing that the test was succesfull, it can soon be galvanized..

That looks like good times !! I guarantee if I was sitting in one of those buggies I would catch the other kites lines.:tumble: Thats what impressed me the most was how good of flyers you all were. Good Job

Indeed, you know someone is gonna cross the line now and make like a 20 buggy train! With like a paraglider as the lead. would be a cool record, i'd give it a shot but I'm the only kiter here. :(
Or better yet a PG pilot flying in super high winds (cells facing wind) and have a bunch o buggiers in tow!

Looks like the guy in the back was having the most fun getting whipped around in the turns. Good times

Several years ago at NABX we attached 7 buggys together and had 4 people flying nasa wings in every other buggy. I got to be in the last buggy. It was a blast.
