Here we go. Exactly 22 minutes from the Tim Horton's drive through down the street from my house. Drive right out onto the lake and enjoy. Your coffee will be just about finished by the time you're set up and ready to go.

36 square kilometers of snow and a fun playground maintained by a lake local who happens to be a kiting enthusiast that owns a backhoe loader that he drives across the lake to this location - hence the kickers and jumps.

First timer

Not only his first time kite skiing, it was his very first day on skis period. Ever! He managed quite well, sadly the wind dropped off on us just as he got underway. This is the "brother in law that I suckered into this crazy addiction at Christmas" ; )

Hey Kelly,

Glad to see you're enjoying yourself up in the "City of Champions" Looks like you guys have a ton of snow. We got about 6"-8" this week and we've had a few days with some wind to enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing your pics, hope we see you back here soon.

Hey Dean! Nice to hear from you! You'll be excited to hear I've got a 10m Access XC on the way to me - super stoked but prepared for the coming absence of wind...

Vincene called and told me I could get in if I could get down there today but I'm out of town carving for the next two weekends. Next weekend is Ice Magic in Lake Louise - you bet I'll be bringing the kites and skis! Do you know where I might go Monday morning to get some time in? I'd prefer to be west of Lake Louise (the homeward side of the mountains ; ) Of course if the wind's blowing at the Chateau I'll just ski there in the morning but it's in a pretty sheltered basin. How about Bow Lake?

The weekend after that I'm in Vernon - you or anyone else know of any locations around there?
