Looks like they're going to try it out pretty soon, but with a much smaller kite than I originally thought:

5000 m2 would actually be a bit larger than the current world record kite owned by Gomberg kites. His kite is 10,000 sqft - not a power kite but a
single line kite....

Right now she's in transit to Venezuela, then she's supposed to sail under conventional power to Houston. Tried to talk to Beluga's agent today, but
he had no updates for us. If she does make it to Houston I've arranged a visit on board to have a look..........
