What's Wrong With Flexifoil Sabre 2?

KiteProject - 24-2-2008 at 08:50 PM

Pretty much all of the Flexifoil kites get great reviews. I am
personally a fan of Blade IV which has enjoyed phenomenal
success. How come Sabre 2 doesn't enjoy such reviews or
ownership? Anyone owns a Sabre 2? How does it stack up
against other depowerable kites?

It's a great kite and there is nothing wrong with it. It is just not as much promoted here in states. If You want to see how good it is just pick any video of Lewis Wilby( best KGB rider IMHO) to see its potentials. www.lewiswilby.com . Anyway I did fly other depowerable kites before and i love my 12m but You will find that most experts now move to water kites as they produce more pop and are more aggressive ( better for tricks). You can also find lots of reviews of this kite on UK sites and forums.

Excellent kite, I agree. Easy to fly for a newbie to de-power. 5th line safety is very effective. I have a 7m for sale only because I rotate gear in my demo bag.
I will say that a few who have flown both the Sabre 2 and Montana 3 like the M3 a lot or better and the price is less. But Flexi always produces a fine product and a lot of folks have fierce brand loyalty.

The 7m Sabre2 is a nice kite. It was one of the first depowers I flew/demoed. But to answer your question, the only thing wrong with Sabres is that they sell Blades too, and as you stated, get most of the press!
