Might there be a way to add more titles to this? I know I look forward to another star But it seems to be going to run out of titles pretty soon I
think super adminastrator has nine. What is after know it all? Just qurious I don't want to see that part at a stall. Adding more posts to level up or
just adding mre titles would be cool.

You mean user ranks. The highest rank is "Kite Traction Guru" at 1500 posts (8 stars). There's nothing after this - should there be? Have a
suggestion?

You might have to step everybody down and raise the requirements to reach a certain level. In another year, there are going to be several gurus and
8-10 know it alls. Maybe that is ok as it is. We don't need to have any kite deities on here, so I'm not sure what is above know it all or certainly
guru. Super Administrator maybe?

You could carry on with like, Big Kahuna, Full time flyer, Hum... Kite God, Super Star, Universal Solider. Need more? I don't know if there should be
more ranks I just know I look forward to seeing Them. It's some incentive to keep posting new questions and ideas. It's also fun.

How could one top guru status? Name says it all!
BeamerBob - 8-5-2008 at 11:14 AM
I said before and still think that we ought to raise the bar, having a higher threshold for these names and rankings. Even though my posts are high,
it is because I'm on here most every day and either learn something which prompts me to gain clarification, or know something that can help another
poster. The number or title doesn't motivate me to be here or to post. I actually felt guilty and conspicuous when my post count went higher than
several of those who I consider much more knowledgeable than myself. I say stretch out the top 3-4 rankings. However, maybe it would be hard not to
be a guru after 1500 posts on here. Given that, I'll always be here to learn first and then offer what I've learned with my perspective when it might
help someone.

pkf only has 151 posts and he's SUPER ADMINISTRATOR...MAYBE there could be SUPER "_______" TITLES.....
AM JEALOUS I'M NOT SUPER!:moon:

To be honest, the reputation of the poster carries more gravitas with me than how many posts they've made. You know the ones that repeatedly have
good sound advice, yet are humble still. Maybe the rankings should be by some other criteria altogether. You could give a poster a bump if you got
something out of what they said. The more bumps you get, the higher your ranking.
Sthrasher38 - 8-5-2008 at 12:22 PM
Well said Bob. And I agree with what you say. My # of posts has nothing to do with my knowlege of kites. Maybe they can work something out.

I should explain... the forum posting ranks are really just for fun and only indicate the number of posts a member has made. They in no way are a
statement of quality of posts and there is no way to change it so that it would be. This is a simple standard feature of online forums and we added
some funny rank titles rather than the defaults (Newbie, Junior Member, Senior Member, etc.).
Although we encourage posting, we don't encourage posting for the sake of increasing one's rank (I'm not suggesting anyone here has). That said, I
agree with others in this thread that there really doesn't appear to be a need for more ranks. We already have 9.
