Does it count as a OBE if I was upside down under the buggy ? I was still technically in the buggy, but it was riding me instead of the other way
around. I'm just trying to get an official judgement on this matter
I did this about 3 times today so if it doesn't count as a OBE then today was my first successful day with no OBE's. kullas - 16-3-2008 at 07:15 PM

I vote no. You did stay in the buggy. Ok, brace for the lightning bolt. I've never had an OBE! Ok, I've been in a buggy for maybe 45 minutes total
but I have kept my butt planted so far.Lobo - 17-3-2008 at 10:42 AM
dlish89, from the little bit I've gotten to know you....I would have never guessed you were that hard-headed!!! :singing:
I need to know what sort of head protection you wear....sounds like what I'll probably need if......weeeeelllll, maybe when the time
comes.

BeamerBob....the Blade's on the way??????? The Blade's on the WAY!!!!!!!!:singing: I know you can't wait! Good for you!!

I think it'd be classified as an UBE (Under Buggy Experiance)
My first time out with my buggy I was yanked out sideways and the buggy flipped on top of me before being drug about 5ft the first three times I sat
in it. (fortunatly I was on grass.)
But i learned a valuble lesson, Don't let the kite get down beside you while sitting still, instant recipe for OBE/UBE!
;-)

Now you need a roll cage!! Or maybe a roll cage with wheels on it so if it happens again you can just keep going!!!Sthrasher38 - 17-3-2008 at 04:25 PM
Thats a good idea! I was there it was a Ube. He got up on 2 wheels a couple times too. He is already doing tricks. I mannaged to stay planted after my obe a couple weeks ago. Did get some good power slides though. New smoothies
helped. Nice post dlish. That was the best day ever. And Bob your luck is ging to change if you try to buggy with that new Blade. Depending on wind
conditions I would get a Blaze to play with I loved it in the bug that day It did a good job. And dlish that on was not an obe but I think one of them
were. I don't know about you but I was wiped out after all that!BeamerBob - 18-3-2008 at 02:31 AM

Believe me, the Blade is the last kite to come out if the others won't get me moving. I don't think it will be that bad in sane winds on low lift.
I'll just have to be careful about getting it over me or behind me. I hope to have enough wind to use the Beamer at first.Sthrasher38 - 18-3-2008 at 03:41 PM
I think the Beamer will do great in the buggy. I am getting a 1.8 beamer this week also. It will be my high wind baby. I can really use it around here
too because the wind is so in constiant around here My area is not that special for kiting one day not enough a week later too much 3 weeks nothing at
all. If I am lucky I get one and I mean one Day a month of prefect wind.being 15-17 mph. for me I love that range. I just try to make the best of it.
Before it is even close to being over I will try to have kites. 1m to 10m all different until I find a size and model that is most universal for
me. I think I am headed in the right direction. It just takes time.WELDNGOD - 18-3-2008 at 03:59 PM
hey Sthrasher bud , don't underestimate small kites in strong inconsistant wind.I have been picked up and taken for a ride ,when I had the kite at
zenith. It was a 2.5 rage and a gust to infinity. BAM eat beach! that quik, no warning.Sthrasher38 - 18-3-2008 at 04:02 PM
Thanks. But I know if a 1.8 snatches me off the ground I won't be flying anyway.:saint:
