Here is the official site.

It would be great to see the Sod Farm gang come up. !!!

We will no-doubt have a crew from Vancouver heading down . My friend drove from Sac. to Van. in one day and arrived yesterday. Seaside is a few hours shorter than that for you !

USA_Eli_A - 10-4-2008 at 11:48 AM

it's always a good time....tons of food and plenty of kiting....

DAKITEZ - 10-4-2008 at 01:27 PM

AHH Killing me !!! My kids start school Aug. 25th. I'm still going to try and make it its just going to me more difficult now and I probably won't be able to stay all week. :(

USA_Eli_A - 10-4-2008 at 03:02 PM

I think we put down about 350 oysters. 10lbs of salmon, braughts, burger, steak, beans, sea bass, uhhhh oh and endless home made 'stuffs'. way too much beer....bring your potatoes for the potato gun night. I've got two kites for the kite burning. 1-3.0 m pansh blaze (pos), and a quadrifoil c-2 (second c-2 of SOBB)....

swav usually brings all the jokes....

I am going to try to make it. Will the rockville with smoothies do ok in the sand? Or do I need to get more tires?:?: Do we need to register or pay anything? where does everyone stay? And I love sea food! I need the ho down on the low down. trhanks.

It's a very casual event with no registration and no cost. It is helpful though that if you are able to make it to just let us know for that we have an idea of how many and who to expect.

We do have a lot of hard pack sand at low tide so standard size tires are fine. BUT, bigfoots do help make it a big plus. Not only expanding the beach but we also have a blast riding on the side of the dunes, turns it into 3D riding.

In the past and I can't commit to it yet this year, but we set up a buggy town (camping) on the property of a long time kiter. Will know more on that later.

Thanks Jim.

I would have thought that this was an educational trip. Your kids will get a chance to see a place where history was made: Lewis and Clarke. They will be close to Mt St Helens. Take them by Crater Lake and then back down the coast. They will learn more by traveling than they ever will in a class room.
Then you have all stuff about wind power they can learn.
Hope I see you there.

not to mention there is ft. clatsop. the lewis and clark trail. the ship wreck, peter 'iredale', Military bases you can visit. Civil war re enactments...and ummm.....

The "shanghied" in astoria play. The coster theatre in cannon beach.
The "goonies" house in Astoria. The column. Youngs river falls.
Local Fresh seafood
Art galleries out the ying yang.
surfing, kiting. hiking.
PDX Zoo and forestry center.
scenic everything.
paragliding
sea lion caves,
whale watching
aquarium where you can take little ones to feed the seals
lewis and clark salt making

so if you plan this right. your kids will learn more on the road than in school.....

oh, and fishing, charter fishing, clam digging, dungeonous crab fishing.

rock hunting
mussels harvesting

I'll think of more later I'm sure...

Sthrasher38 - 15-4-2008 at 07:19 AM

Sounds like a all around good time. My kids did not get to go to Nabx. So if I can make it they will have to come with me.

DAKITEZ - 26-6-2008 at 09:03 PM

I want to try and make it up for the weekend. Anyone want to carpool so we can afford the gas?

SCREWYFITS - 27-6-2008 at 09:27 PM

By then I'll have weekends open... count me in for now, gotta check with the better half... she might have all my weekends tied up, being I haven't had weekends in about 10 months...;) we have our Mexican cruz shortly after that... so she will probably let me go play since she'll have me for 9 days strait... :singing:
