Another kite!!!!

Sthrasher38 - 15-4-2008 at 09:07 AM

Well as you can see it is time for another kite!! Sorry everyone but no more Di#@ing around! All I have now is a Blade2 6.4 and a Beamer 1.8! That really narrows things down! The Npw is out of control it seems to have a mind of its own in the wind around here it is full on or full off. So, I am waiting for some reviews on the new Flexi Blurr!! Quality before quantity! The bullet was a great kite except for (my comfort of) useable wind range was about 8-10 mph. in the buggy after that it just wanted to pop me out in gusty or higher wind so bye bye now. I think the 3.5 Blurr will be most universal. That's what I am shooting for. So as soon as anyone gets to try please post up. Thanks.

the PKD Brooza seems to be a fav of the buggy nation..................... Ozone Sami not bad either. I owned a 5m and was nice for boarding. Minimal lift and alot of grunt.

Sthrasher38 - 15-4-2008 at 09:37 AM

Yea, Thanks I have benn looking at both of those also. i did get a chance to fly the brooza and hear alot about the Sami. decisions,decisions...

acampbell - 15-4-2008 at 09:41 AM

Blurr is due out the 18th- this week. I'm trying to get more detail and pricing...

Sthrasher38 - 15-4-2008 at 09:46 AM

Thanks! Will you have these at your shop? (never mind. I see ya do.)

tridude - 15-4-2008 at 09:54 AM

I saw some prices on Flexi forum. Dont know how accurate but I sure it aint cheap.............

Sthrasher38 - 15-4-2008 at 11:35 AM

Thats cool. I would rather pay the $$$ to fly quality and preformance. :D

acampbell - 15-4-2008 at 11:52 AM

Blurr with line set and new Pro-Link Handles...
2.5m $529.99
3.5m $639.99
5.0m $749.99
7.0m $859.99

Sthrasher38 - 15-4-2008 at 11:58 AM

I already have half the $$$ so that is sweet!!! W/ handles. That gives time to hear some reviews before jumping in head first.;)

Whow, I was interested in purchasing a 3.5m Blurr as well and kicked myself for missing the opportunity to try it at NABX. After looking at the retail prices, I'm glad I didn't try it because if I really liked it, I wouldn't have been able to afford it. Looks sweet though and I heard it did really well at the 'races' at NABX. Handles were really cool!

...I did end up buying a demo Cult 3.5m from Brian at Windzup. Caught him just before he was leaving NABX. $250 for a kite that he used once or twice and new lines and handles! I had a chance to fly it at NABX and El Mirage when the wind was between 20-30. Very powerful but predictable. Wasn't scaried even at 30. I had a chance to really test the stability at my inland park and it performed flawlessly. Really, really stable and the few times I did get it to luff (on purpose, testing the kite), it didn't bowtie and came out clean every time without a walk to the kite to untangle the lines.

Ozone or Flexi...can't really go wrong with either!

Sthrasher38 - 16-4-2008 at 03:12 PM

I have been looking at Cult also. Thanks.

krumly - 16-4-2008 at 03:26 PM

Brooza's are great. Love my 2, 3, and 4 with the buggy in dirty winds. Sewing quality is impeccable. Got them from Pablo.

If I was you and I was in the marKet for a kite I'd be ALL OVER that 10m Air Evo !!! I can't believe that kite is going for such a great price and not selling !

You really need to take the next step and move up to Depower if you are flying inland !!!!!!! IMHO

Sthrasher38 - 16-4-2008 at 06:14 PM

I know snowrunner I mean bladerunner.:P I am in the middle of deciding. Thank you for your honest opinion It is taken into consideration. I hate this deciding part. I wish I could just buy them all!!!!

Bladerunner - 16-4-2008 at 06:18 PM

You should ask Dagon how much he enjoys his 10 Frenzy around you area ?
This kite and that kite are supposed to be similar but not the same.

Sthrasher38 - 16-4-2008 at 06:20 PM

I just looked at it and it is a very nice kite for the price I need to decide soon it will not last.:puzzled: I just know nothing about depower.

Sthrasher38 - 17-4-2008 at 05:07 PM

I know your right! I took your advise when I got the Blade and I love it to death. Although since I have been buggying And I hurt my knee I have been staying a little closer to the ground. Until yesterday. I took it out in 18-22 And got some good static jumps! first time in awhile.

Sthrasher38 - 17-4-2008 at 05:30 PM

WELDNGOD - 17-4-2008 at 05:33 PM

I hear ya , we have to watch every inch of our welding lead. Stuff might as well be gold! Every crackhead in town wants to steal it!

DAKITEZ - 17-4-2008 at 05:38 PM

stick with the copper. alot more money there than selling kites.

WELDNGOD - 17-4-2008 at 06:09 PM

kite biz that bad? Weldn biz is rockin right now. There is stuff breaking all over town right now.

BeamerBob - 17-4-2008 at 06:38 PM

Your build a bug comment in your sig raised my eyebrows weldndeity. You might become the stateside popeye. I tried to get popeye to move next door but we couldn't put it together. Maybe we could do one via phone and email, and then I could drive up and we could giver a whirl. I wonder how much a frame would cost out of chromoly? Barrow wheels would suit me for 90% of the places I would buggy. Just thinking out loud here.

WELDNGOD - 17-4-2008 at 06:43 PM

if you need kiting related welding in the mid-atlantic area don't hesitate to call www.hotworxinc.com tell them weldngod sent ya and they will get you in touch with me. If it is made out of metal we can build it.
