spreading the bug

WELDNGOD - 19-4-2008 at 04:29 PM

I took my new neighbor across the street out to the beach, winds were perfect 10 mph.I put him on the sting 1.7 and he took right to it.Needless to say we just increased by 1! He has the bug for sure now. by the end of the day the wind shifted out of east at 15-20 So I broke out the buggy and the landboard, He was stoked for sure now.I told him if he got me some car parts for my 86 monte I would build him a buggy.

cool man introducing the sport to new people. i try to but other than a 5m i have no small kites. my 14yr brother is even scared but whatever. its cool that you got another person hooked on kiting.

Great Job Weldngod,

I just turned my cuz on to kite'n and got him two kites Pansh Legend 3m & Ace 4m on 4/17/08. He is afraid of the Ace which is a good thing... He in turn takes a mutual friend out and scuds him on his belly across a grassy field and now he's looS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-n at get'n a kite...:o:lol: I just wish I was there to help him out better than my cuz did, just the right advice... I think they were playing in a real gusty area...:o

I just ordered a 3m Legend for my Bro-n-law because he borrowed my Flexi Bullet 1.5m for a few mo. a year or so ago and just loved it... but he has some physical issues and hopefully he'll fly this a lot and give him the exercise he needs... I know he'll love it as much as the Flexi especially that its gifted to him...

Lets keep teaching the good fun of mother nature...

Screwy...

By the way my cuz tells me he's ready for the buggy now...

Yeah, Pansh is a great way to get people to test the waters....or the snow. I got my brother in law one for xmas and then convinced another friend of mine and her boyfriend to buy some as well. My brother in law was so into it we got him on skis for the first tie ever, threw a tow bar on the back of a quad so he could get used to them and within 30 minutes he was kiting across the lake. He tottally loves it and has the same burning desire to hit the water.

IF winter would take a hike. Until then, I'm taking my skis back out. We're in the middle of ANOTHER dump of snow ; )
