kiters opinion

Sthrasher38 - 23-4-2008 at 07:47 AM

As fellow kiters what would you like to see happen with this sport? It is fairly new and has lots of room for expansion. What kind of things would intrest you? More events, Legal issues, conditions, Kites. Stuff like that. I have lot's of ideas but I need to hear what you want!

Cool. thanks.

Have ya looked into napkra.org ? We are looking at organizing some events.

Sthrasher38 - 23-4-2008 at 11:21 AM

Yea I did I was going to register as a pilot But is it not for para karts only? Did you guys get some snow on the beach there lately? Or maybe that was Seaside.:puzzled:

NAPKRA is having events with insurance, as a club that represents buggiers that is ready and willing as a group of concerned buggiers to take on legal issues such as beach closers etc. NAPKRA supports fun get togethers, racing, training, safety seminars and more. NAPKRA is a multinational club with members in Canada, Mexico, and the US. This club was founded on the idea that everyone has a vote and a right to know. NAPKRA is changeable and guided by its members. Only by joining can you make a difference for buggiers in North America and be represented as a group of likeminded buggiers. As far as the name goes, if it bothers you that much then please join and get it changed.

Bladerunner - 23-4-2008 at 01:49 PM

Talk to your townships! They'd love to hear proposals for creating stuff like we have here: http://www.lakesbayrec.org/

we have one, and we use it (so-to-say) ... however the City of Richmond stopped talking to us (members of PowerKiteCanada) right now, because they are interested in creating more Fenced Dog Parks to keep them away from our park. They know that dog walkers like Garry Point because no one really patrols the area.

they dont want offleash dogs there, but they havent said "no kiting".

my only thing is that they could make it bigger for us.

Bladerunner - 23-4-2008 at 08:25 PM

We are lucky to have what we have

I was thinking a few steps up. An organized and kite specific design. Rails, Kickers and Coolers ! :singing:

Oh.... yes..... a LOT more room

Atlantic City!?!?

kitepool - 23-4-2008 at 09:13 PM

OW!
Barnes there is a good killer spot at AC???!!!
How about they do a land kite lawn spot!
is there one now?????

I took a short ride at the Atlantic City
shut down air-strip this year in January...
that was kinda nice

my thoughts are that someday
there will be Kite dedicated
country-clubs that we'll all have expensive memberships at
and will be able to kite into our retirements
and beyond....!

My Grand-pa is a 92 year old
who golfs every chance the conditions permit
and I think I'll be able to do the same,
but on a kite.

hey, who wants to have a paint-ball-gun
battle on kite buggies versus the mountain-boards

cuz I'm taking my side
on KGB,..PBG squad AlphaCharlieBravo!

Sthrasher38 - 24-4-2008 at 06:42 PM

There is an idea! I would love to cap off a couple shots at Dlish and Bladerunner if they try to pass me.

NPWfever - 24-4-2008 at 07:23 PM

Kite buggy polo!!!! :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

dylanj423 - 24-4-2008 at 09:11 PM

Designated kite parks, and insurance. Two things I would love to see.

WELDNGOD - 24-4-2008 at 09:28 PM

hard to get in the litigious united states, everybody wants to sue somebody. And insurance companies don't wanna pay for anything if they can weasel out of it.kiting = unknown, unpredictable sport. But I'm all for it! And before anyone starts,I'm all for organizations and all that , but I am the only person I or anybody that knows me knows that kite buggys or landboards. I got nobody to organize with( I have a few friends that I'm workin on, it won't be long)

gross213 - 24-4-2008 at 09:52 PM

I would love to see Washington open up their beaches for buggies, and boarders without having to get a special permit for a small part of its beaches :flaming:

Bladerunner - 25-4-2008 at 09:22 AM
