I have had to sit on this for a while, but it has been outed here...
Former Ozone designer Tom Bordeau has joined HQ and designed HQ's new closed cell, water relaunchable foil.
More product information will be available Monday. Kite is due to arrive in the States in July.
No pricing yet, but it can't be as much as a Flysurfer!
leebrianh - 30-4-2008 at 10:18 AM
Looks good. I love to demo one.
Is Tom Bordeaux a designer of Ozone Vision? Is that (him leaving Ozone) why Ozone couldn't release Vision this year?
acampbell - 30-4-2008 at 10:26 AM
Apparently, yes.

Whow, now that is exciting news!
I've been wanting to fly the Vision ever since I first got word of it. I was bummed to say the least when I heard that Ozone wasn't happy with the
Vision and the product would be delayed.
I was saving some money to buy a Waroo or upgrade my Venom 2 19 to a Synergy, now I think I will hold off and wait until the HQ comes out.
Can't wait to hear more news on Monday and see some prices.

WOW.......HQ are def raising the bar! The Montana 3, CF2, and now the Neon. Angus, would you have rights to a demo model from HQ
USA...................?
BeamerBob - 30-4-2008 at 12:01 PM
Uh Oh. Tridude is flush with cash from a kite sale and did you guys see the gleam in his eye looking at those pictures? Don, this is right up your
alley.
tridude - 30-4-2008 at 12:08 PM
could be................should have seen this coming with that new "water" repellent ripstop being used on the Montana 3 and CF 2s;-) Be nice, Ive got
a kite to fix first......................
HQ-Powerkites - 30-4-2008 at 02:02 PM
Hey guys,
Just to let you know. The name will be or is NEO not NEON. All infos Angus stated are correct. As soon as we get final infos, we will post it on
our website and distribute it through this group too.
Thanks and sit tight.
Later

Oops. Edit made. Thanks Tim
tridude - 30-4-2008 at 02:10 PM
my bad I called it Neon--give a 50 yr old man a break.....................
BeamerBob - 30-4-2008 at 03:49 PM
Thank goodness. I didn't like neon. Sounded kinda cheesy and 90's. Neo is fine though. All the stuff that goes into putting a kite like that to
market and you still have to come up with the perfect name. Tough job.

Hey Tim,
Any demos on the West Coast?
...and any discounts for PKF members :wink2:
tridude - 30-4-2008 at 04:06 PM

tridude - 30-4-2008 at 04:09 PM
Pinged the Racekites forum--couple of replys said it looked very stable at Atmosphere 08. Also, a few sweet pix over there to view. Im not going to
bag someones photos with a cut and paste but worth a looksie........................Def has my interest. Again, with the quality of the M3 and CF2,
its gotta deliver............cant wait!
leebrianh - 30-4-2008 at 07:10 PM
Tim @ HQ. Where do I need to sign up for demo? Definitely want to try it out. I am in Delaware.
HQ-Powerkites - 1-5-2008 at 12:40 PM
Hey guys,
I will contact stores to arrange for demo days on East and West Coast. As soon as I know when to expect the first demo kites (should be around end of
June), I will post more infos here and through our network of dealers.
Stay tuned;
Tim

PLEASE send a Demo to Airtime board sports in VAN. !
Maybe I'm over simplifying things but I always wondered why Ozone never just put directional valves and a zipper into a Frenzy ? Would that not work
??? :duh:
