Beginner board

After doing some research I came across this

http://myplykiteboards.com/2007boards.html

Seems like a pretty sweet deal for those of us who don't have the area to build or own homebrew's.

I am just starting out and looking for advice. I have the P2 that Bladerunner sold me and now I am looking for a beginner board. These myply's seem to be the ticket and I was wondering which board I should get? I weigh around 160. I was thinking about the Mammoth 140 but if somebody knows why I should go with one of their different shapes I am all ears.

I talked to Dan from Myply and he suggested the Charge 140 or 146. He was vey helpful and friendly, so we'll see how it goes after I add a couple of fins.

I personally wouldn't pay $175 for a plywood board. If you have to have a ply board, build it yourself. For $100 you can get all the materials and tools you'd need to build one. If you don't want to build one, shop around for a used / discount board. I just bought my wife a brand new 2006 North Jaime Pro for $295 including shipping (from kite-line.com). A ply board will have 0 resale value no matter how good of a shape it's in when you decide to stop using it. A used/cheap production board will likely sell very easily. Just my 2 cents...

full agree with BK

also an used board will have some nice rocker. these plys seem to have none

Duly noted fellas, that's why I asked first :-)

So I have been looking around and the Liquid Force Proof can be picked up for pretty reasonable prices, think I'll go that route, Thanks for the help guys
