Has anyone here got any experience with a standup paddle board and kiting? I have been interested in picking one up for the paddling and maybe a bit
of fishing on our lakes around here. If I could and the wind picked up can they be kited with a smaller inflato of maybe a NPW?
I don't want to rip it up but just cruise about nice and easy with my ipod blasting.action jackson - 8-5-2008 at 07:17 PM

Let us know AJ! Cruising my local lake with a longboard/SUP with a NPW sounds perfect (as long as I could get upwind).bigkahuna - 9-5-2008 at 03:58 AM

Ive had a few sessions with offshores using my Profoil 3.5 with our 9'6s and 10' longboards. Not SUPs but big boards none the less. How big are you
thinking? 11 to 12 foot range? Its a lot of fun just cruising up and down the beach, and very safe considering the winds are offshore. As summer
approaches/swimmers and the water is 73 degrees now, probably need to stop until next fall. Forecast calls for offshores the next few days and my
surf/photographer is home from school so Ill try a get a few pics posted.dman - 9-5-2008 at 05:03 PM
I'm thinking something in the 11 ft. range. I have been looking at the Bic Jungle which can go from standup paddle to windsurf to kayak so it could
fill alot of wind of no wind options. I have seen a few epoxy boards going for $500 to $700 but I don't know enough about them to just buy one. I
was hoping someone had done it so I know it will work before I pull the trigger.
